W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) is the international standards organization for the World Wide Web. W3C develops and maintains web standards including HTML, CSS, WCAG accessibility guidelines, and co-sponsors schema.org structured data vocabulary. Founded in 1994 by Tim Berners-Lee at MIT.
